Who this policy is from
Batik Prints is a sole proprietorship trading as Batik Prints, at 6004, Radha Krishna Logistic Park (RKLP), Behind Bharat Cancer Hospital, Saroli, Surat 395010, Gujarat, India. We manufacture printed cotton fabric and supply it to businesses. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the data fiduciary for the information described here, and you are the data principal.
What the enquiry form collects
The form asks for five things: your name, your company, your email address, your phone or WhatsApp number, and a short description of what your enquiry is about. You also tick a box confirming you have read this notice and agree to be contacted about your enquiry. With each enquiry we store the date and time and a reference number such as BP-1A2B3C4D.
Nothing else is collected. The website takes no payment, creates no account and asks for no identity document. Send only the details your fabric requirement needs. This is a business website; please do not use the form if you are under 18.
Why we use it
To read your requirement, prepare a quotation and reply to you. That is the only purpose. We do not sell or rent enquiry details, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we send no marketing.
Where your enquiry is stored
The website runs on Netlify’s free plan, and Netlify’s servers are outside India. Your enquiry is saved in a Netlify Blobs store named “enquiries” that belongs to this site. In that store, the keys used to count recent enquiries hold a hashed form of your email address rather than the address itself; your details sit inside the enquiry record. No public page or endpoint lists enquiries.
How the enquiry reaches us
A copy is emailed through Resend to our mailbox info@batikprints.in, which is hosted by Spacemail. Your address is set as the reply address on that email, so our answer goes straight back to you. Resend and Spacemail process the message in order to deliver it.
Spam check and sending limits
Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a script, is sending the form. It is a privacy-preserving check, not a tracking cookie, and it does not follow you around the web. Your IP address is passed to Cloudflare for that check. We also accept a maximum of five enquiries per email address per hour, and a hidden field catches automated submissions.
Cookies, analytics and outside links
This site sets no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies, and we do not profile visitors. The Contact page embeds a Google map so you can see where the mill is. It loads from Google only when that part of the page comes into view, and when it does, Google receives your IP address under its own privacy policy. The WhatsApp and Google Maps links hand you to those services in the same way.
How long we keep enquiries
We keep an enquiry for 24 months from our last contact with you about it, then delete it. Ask us earlier and we delete it earlier, unless we still need it for an order in progress or for a tax or legal record.
Where your information is processed
Netlify, Resend and Cloudflare run their servers outside India, so your enquiry is processed abroad. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 permits this except to countries the Government of India restricts. We claim no adequacy decision and no GDPR certification. If you would rather not send details through the form, email or call us instead.
Your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
You can ask for a copy of the enquiry details we hold about you, ask us to correct or complete them, and ask us to delete them. You can withdraw the consent you gave when you submitted the form; that stops us using your details to contact you about the enquiry, and it does not undo what was already done with your consent. You can ask which services we shared your enquiry with. The Act also lets you nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or cannot act for yourself.
Asking us, or raising a grievance
Write to info@batikprints.in for any of the above. Say what you are asking for, and write from the email address you used on the form so we can find the record. Complaints about how we handled your data go to the same address; there is no separate grievance officer, and every request is read by the people running the business. If our answer does not satisfy you, the Act lets you complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Keeping it safe
The site is served over HTTPS. The enquiry store is scoped to this website and cannot be read from a public page. Access to the mailbox stays with the people running the business. No system is perfect; if enquiry records are exposed, we will tell the people affected and report it as the Act requires.
Changes to this policy
If the way we handle enquiries changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. The version on this page is the one that applies.
